Calling all kids and parents, mountain bikers, and Elvis enthusiasts!

To celebrate its 25th anniversary the Ore to Shore will be marching in both the Marquette and Ishpeming, 4th and 6th of July parades. We would like as many people as possible to join us in celebrating by walking or riding with us in the parade! The Ore to Shore Rocks and Rolls (pun intended), so we will have the King of Rock and Roll himself, Elvis Presley (Almost Elvis), performing on our float.

The Ore to Shore invites you to decorate your bike for the parade and wear your favorite Ore to Shore t-shirt. To Rock and Roll with Almost Elvis, any child 13 years or younger that dresses up like Elvis and marches or rides in the parade will receive a free entry for one of the kids’ events at the 2024 Ore to Shore. The top adult that dresses like Elvis will win a free entry to the 2024 Ore to Shore. Elvis costume judging will be done, of course, by Almost Elvis and the Michigan TCB Mafia.

Everyone is welcome to march or ride in the parade with us whether or not you decorate your bike or dress like Elvis. Kids riding bikes in a 4th of July parade is one of the best Independence Day traditions and will be remembered for a lifetime.

Marquette Parade: Thursday, July 4th
We will line up on McClellan Street near the L&M Fleet Supply (old Shopko). Parade lineup is from 12:45 PM to 1:15 PM, with the parade starting at 2:00 PM. The streets will be barricaded after 1:15 PM, so make sure to get there before that if you need to park. All are welcome to walk or ride their bike in the parade with us, regardless of costume. If you’re not dressing up, wear an Ore to Shore shirt from past years!

Ishpeming Parade: Saturday, July 6th
Line up for the parade starts at 9:00 am with the parade starting at 10:30 am. Parade line up location will be posted on the Ishpeming Independence Day Celebration Facebook Page the day before the parade (July 5th). Please use this Facebook page to find us.
